Sé que la mayoría de personas que lee mis entradas es conocedora de los temas y terminos de esta industria, pero no todos y mi objetivo es educar a todos mis lectores, tengo un post del MET GALA 2018 hablando sobre qué es, pero aquí también les explicare un poco sobre el tema.

I know that most of the people who read my posts are familiar with the issues and terms of this industry, but not all of them and my goal is to educate all my readers, I already have a post about what is the met gala 2018 but also here I will explain about the subject.

La Gala del met es el evento más importante de la industria fundado en 1948 por Eleanor Lambert donde se reunen fondos para el instituto del vestido y se inaugura el exposición del Museo metropolitano de arte en Nueva york.

The MET GALA is the most important event on fashion industry founded in 1948 by Eleanor Lambert that is an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City.

Desde 1995 Anna Wintour la Editora de Vogue en Estados Unidos ha sido la anfitriona del evento, donde son invitados celebridades de hollywood, cantantes, empresarios, makeup artist, modelos, diseñadores y personas famosas en general para inaugurar las exposiciones del museo metropolitano del arte en Nueva York y recaudar los fondos para el presupuesto anual del instituto, cabe recalcar que cada año hay una temática diferente dependiendo de la nueva exposición que habrá, el año pasado fue “Cuerpos celestiales; moda y la imaginación católica”, siendo la primera vez que el evento uso como tema la religión, teniendo un costo de 30,000 dolares por persona y una de las anfitrionas fue Rihanna.

Since 1995 Anna Wintour the Editor of Vogue in the United States has been the chair of the event, where Hollywood celebrities, singers, business people, make-up artists, models, designers, and famous people, in general, are invited to see the exhibitions of Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and raise funds for the annual budget of the institute, Every year there is a different theme that is about the new art exhibition, the last year was “Heavenly bodies; fashion and the Catholic imagination”, it was the first theme about religion, having a cost of 30,000 dollars per person and one of the co-chairs was Rihanna.

Este año 2019 la temática fue Camp; Notas sobre moda, que es la exageración, lo extravagante, el exceso, lo teatral y el humor, está inspirado en el ensayo de la escritora Susan Sontag,  ademas los anfitriones fueron Lady Gaga, Alessandro Michelle, Harry Styles y Serena Williams.

This year 2019 the theme was Camp; Notes on fashion, which means exaggeration, extravagance, excess, theater and humor, is inspired on the essay by the writer Susan Sontag, and the co-chairs were Lady Gaga, Alessandro Michelle, Harry Styles, and Serena Williams.
